Service Description

The Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) is a comprehensive set of policies and guidelines designed to ensure the security of Australian Government entities. The Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) conducted a performance audit on the administration of the revised PSPF, focusing on three core requirements: Security Maturity Monitoring, Physical Security for Entity Resources, and Entity Facilities. Key findings from the audit include: Effectiveness: The audited agencies were largely effective in administering the revised PSPF. Self-reporting: There is a risk of optimism bias in self-reporting security maturity to the Attorney-General’s Department (AGD). Recommendations: The audit made several recommendations to improve security governance and incident reporting
